What is ISO 50001 Energy Management System?
It provides a systematic approach for organizations to be successful in continuous improvement of energy efficiency and energy consumption. It aims to establish measurable energy targets for production amount and reduction of Energy and Electricity consumption per working hour. It provides the provision of energy, measurements, documentation, reporting of energy use and the creation of equipment, systems and processes that use energy. The standard can be used independently, but can be integrated with existing management systems if desired.
According to the Communiqué on Energy Efficiency Supports published in the Official Gazette dated 03.07.2012 and numbered 28342, businesses that want to benefit from the support are required to have ISO 50001 Energy Management System certificate as of 01.01.2014.
Who Can Benefit from Support?
Businesses with annual energy consumption of one thousand tons of oil equivalent and above, operating under the chamber of commerce and industry, chamber of commerce or industry and producing all kinds of goods.
