SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE REGULATION
Scope
All electrical appliances operated with a voltage between 50V - 1000V AC and 75 - 1500V DC are covered by the Low Voltage Directive 73/23 / EC. All electrical appliances within this scope are evaluated within the scope of the regulation and free trade is allowed in EU markets with the CE mark. According to the LVD guide; The safety of the underlying components of some electrical equipment depends on the process of integrating these components into the product. These types of components, which form the basis of electrical equipment, are excluded from the scope of the regulation and do not carry CE mark. As basic components;
Active components (such as integrated circuits, amplifiers, diodes and transistors)
Passive components (such as capacitors and filters)
Flexible cable sets with signal plugs
Other electrical components; If used as a component of an electrical appliance, they are fully considered under the LVD (Low Voltage Directive). Transformers and electric motors are components. In the use of such components, it is necessary to undergo some safety assessments. There is a European standard applicable for many of these types of components. Manufacturers are required to carry out the necessary tests according to the relevant standard.
Components not covered by the LVD are divided into three groups and given above, and the products are listed below in eight items.
Electrical devices designed for use in explosive atmospheres
II. Radiology and medical electrical devices
III. Electrical parts of elevators carrying cargo and passengers
IV. Electricity meters, meters
Plugs and sockets used in the house
VI. Electric fence controllers
VII. TV-Radio electrical interaction equipment
VIII. Electrical vehicles and equipment that must be produced on ships, planes and trains in accordance with the norms of international authorities
